Back to Basics: Aboriginal Family History Research Workshop in Cessnock

In mid-October this year, members of the Indigenous Services team visited Cessnock public library to host a series of workshops to help community members and library staff  of Cessnock and neighbouring areas undertake Aboriginal family history research.

Participants were introduced to many aspects of carrying out research using the Library collections and other resources.  The workshops were also a great opportunity for Indigenous Services to promote their services, projects and programs and highlight how resources of the Library can be useful in Aboriginal cultural heritage research.
