Ronald Briggs, Librarian
Ronald is a Kamilaroi man who comes from Moree in NSW. Ronald landed at the Library in 1991, after working as a teacher. Today Ronald is an Indigenous librarian, passionate in family history research.
Monica Galassi, Project Officer
Monica is an Italian researcher with a background in information studies and cultural anthropology. Arrived at the Library in 2013, she has been enthusiastically working in different projects and research for the team. Monica is also passionate in finding International and Transnational links and connections to assist Indigenous people to reconnect with their cultural heritage.
Melissa Jackson, Librarian
Melissa is of Bundjalung descent, with family links to the Baryulgil area near Grafton. She started at the Library with Ronald as an Indigenous Librarian in 1991. Melissa has a background in teaching and a passion for Aboriginal languages.
Nathan Sentance, Library Technician
Nathan is the library technician of the team and he is currently studying Bachelor of Information Studies at Charles Sturt University. His main interests in the information profession are Indigenous Intellectual Property and metadata. Nathan is a proud Wiradjuri whose family originates from the Wellington region.
Kirsten Thorpe, Manager
Kirsten is a descendant of the Worimi people of Port Stephens of NSW. Before becoming Manager of the Indigenous Services team, Kirsten has spent the last twenty years assisting Indigenous people to gain access to historical records held in libraries and archives. Kirsten is passionate about creating spaces of engagement for Indigenous people to connect with archival sources documenting their culture and heritage.
