You can still get help with your legal problem over the holiday season.
LawAccess NSW is a free government telephone service that provides legal information, referrals and in some cases, advice for people who have a legal problem in NSW.
You can call LawAccess on 1300 888 529 between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). You can also chat to them - simply click on the chat icon on the right hand side of any page to start a chat with an Information Officer.
The practical guides and resources in the Representing yourself section will help you deal with your legal problem or represent yourself in a court or tribunal. You will find step-by-step guides for going to court, as well as sample forms and answers to your frequently asked questions.
You can call the Tenancy Advice Hotline on 1800 251 101 or (02) 8117 3750. The hotline will operate from Thursday 23 December 2021 to Friday 7 January 2022 (excluding the weekends and public holidays on 27/12, 28/12 and 3/1/2022). Hours of operation will be 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm.

The National Debt Helpline will be open as usual throughout the holiday period except for public holidays. Call them on 1800 007 007 Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The Insurance Law Service will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from 17 December 2021, re-opening on Tuesday 4 January 2022 at 10.30am.
Mob Strong Debt Help will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from 23 December 2021, re-opening on Tuesday 4 January 2022 at 9.30am.
